Welcome to My Website

Hi, I’m Allen. I’m a young professional in the Seattle area, and on this site I share thoughts and ideas on my career interests. I’m a certified PMP with several years of experience providing project management, process improvement, and management consulting services to a variety of clients. The thing is, I’m passionate about this stuff. I care deeply about maximizing project value, squeezing every last efficiency out of a process, tweaking a forecast model to get more accurate, and so on. If those topics sound appealing, then you’ll probably enjoy my work.

I focus my writing on three core areas:

Project Management: topics in this section include PMOs, requirements, stakeholders, and more. I’ve also written a full series on taking the PMP exam, with free tools you can download and use for free.
Presentation Design: topics in this section include the art of presenting, from both a content and delivery perspective. I also have some of my presentation work available in the Portfolio section.
Variety: I admit it, this is a catch-all section. I’ve written a wide array of posts on topics like big data, consumer privacy, interesting news articles, and more; I just don’t do it on a regular basis.

My goal is to post new content once a week, usually on Mondays or Tuesdays. It doesn’t always shake out like that, but overall I’m pretty consistent. Check back often to read my latest work! I also cross-post some content on Linkedin, but this happens much less often.
